What is an update
verses an upgrade? |
|
Updates involve annual data
updates. The same program is used to
update new data. Upgrades involve a
new CD and program updates. See our
update policy for charges. |
Update/Upgrade Policy |
|
Updates: Annual updates
through the internet are free to
current users. Current users are
those who have upgraded their
software product when needed or
purchased their version of BigGameCD
new within the last year. If you
have problems updating your files,
an update CD can be purchased for
$13.95 through the BigGameCD
website.
Occasional program
upgrades require users to
obtain a new CD with new
programs and routines. These
upgrades are available for
$13.95. The last upgrade was
made on 1/1/2003. If you
purchased your copy of
BigGameCD (Standard or
Deluxe) prior to 1/1/2003
you will need to purchase an
upgrade to stay current.
Your internet key code from
your original CD will be
required to load the update
CD.
If your update routines do
not appear to operate, check
you program version. See
"Program Version" below. |

Help with
Registration Keys - lost or

The RECAP report is
black when I select a DOW HuntCode
from the main screen. |
|
This is a known issue.
BigGameCD allows selection of
HuntCodes from all years from the
Main screen. The RECAP report
selects Huntcodes only from the
current year. It is possible to
select a HuntCode from different
years. This selection results in a
blank Recap Report.
Solution:
-
Close the RECAP Report
-
Select the Unit ,
Animal, and Season from
the Main screen.
-
Select "Draw" from the
Menu at the top of the
screen
-
Select "Draw History for
Unit/Season"
-
View the graph and
detailed data. If
there is an entry
for the current
year, click on the
"HuntCode" button in
the top right
corner. If there is
not a data entry for
the current year,
select a different
unit from the top
left unit box.
The Standard Upgrade to
version 5.5 addresses this
issue. Current users
can order an update CD for
$13.95
|
The Non-Resident
Points do not print on the Unit or
Season License Scouting Reports |
|
This issue was
addressed with BigGameCD
Standard version 5.3.
Users of BigGameCD Deluxe
versions 3.0 to 3.4 can
download a fix for this problem
on the
Standard Update Web Page.

I lost my "Hunter Notes" data
when I reinstalled the software? |
|
The "Hunter Notes" database
is overwritten when the software is
reinstalled. Solution:
-
Prior to uninstalling and
reinstalling the software,
copy the ~\user\Notes.mdb
file to an alternate
directory (where the ~
represents the installation
directory, the default is
"c:\program
files\biggamecddeluxe\ )
-
After reinstalling the
software, replace the
new Notes.mdb file with
the Notes.mdb file
stored in #1 above.
This item is covered in the
"Help" database. See the
first item in this list. |
